This Program provides your child a social experience in a nurturing, preschool environment. In this program, the parent/caregiver stays with the child. You can enjoy observing your toddler explore in a warm, secure setting while he/she participates in art activities, snack music and story time with peers. Throughout the session, the group leader will facilitate parent discussions about parenting and child development issues. Our focus of the group is for each child to begin to socialize and share with peers, communicate verbally, and follow simple instructions and an easy routine, in order to become more self-sufficient. Toddlers must be at least 16 months old and walking to be eligible, and each child may remain in the toddler group until they enter preschool.

ADMISSIONS PROCESS
Schedule a tour
Call us to schedule a tour and explore Mt. Olive Preschool. Meet our director, see our facilities, and get answers to all your questions. Choosing the right preschool program is imporant. We encourage families to visit and experience our environment firsthand before making the important decision of submitting an application.
Submit Application
Once you’ve had a tour, you may submit an application. Please complete our online application and submit the required application fee to the preschool office. This step will secure your child’s place on our waitlist. We eagerly anticipate the opportunity to welcome you and your child to our family!
Secure spot on the wait list
After we secure a postition for your child on the waitlist, we quickly process your application, considering your child’s age group and specific needs, to determine placement. In the event that a spot is not immediately available, your child will remain on the waitlist. We will notify you as soon as space opens up. Rest assured, all class placements are handled fairly and are filled on a first-come first-served basis.
Once your child is admitted
We are happy to welcome you and your family to our community! The next steps are to call the preschool office (310-452-2342) to arrange two separate visits for you and your child to meet the teachers and visit the school. One half-hour visit will be in the classroom and one half-hour visit will be on the playground. This meeting is a valuable time, allowing us to learn more about your child and family. Additionally, it’s the perfect moment for your child to acclimate to the preschool environment.
